CONSIDERATIONS - Individually wrapped, single-serving items are best. Choose easy-to-open items that do not require a can opener. Choose foods that do not require being warmed up or need additional items added to eat. Choose resealable items, if possible. Donate plastic utensils for fruit cups. Choose easy-to-chew items (some homeless deal with dental issues). We will place the contents in a zippered plastic bag. This keeps everything sanitary and the bag can be used once the contents are consumed. When possible, we will customize some bags for women only which will include sanitary napkins and wipes. We will most likely not include hand sanitizer or mouthwash because these items contain high amounts of alcohol. Socks, gloves and hand warmers are needed for cold weather.
We accept checks made out to CCF (memo line: homeless), cash and online/text to give.
